With Thanksgiving around the corner many of us will be around family we haven't seen in a while. For some this can be an anxiety provoking, mind bending experience. Take some time to rehearse your footing on your own triggers with family. It can mean the difference between an evening of laughter versus total chaos. Above all, imagine what you are grateful for before you walk through the door of your brother-in-laws house and remember, people are more socially awkward than we think. See their inappropriate or predictable comment as an awkwardness they can't quite get a handle on and cut them some slack.
"If we really want to love we must learn how to forgive."
~Mother Theresa
